15 New Game Of Thrones Season 7 Photos Revealed

Anytime in the the past six years, the latest season of Game of Thrones would already be airing (or just about to begin airing, in last year's case) by now. 2017's Season 7 is still a few months away, but to pass the time, we have new photos to dissect.

HBO has released 15 new photos from the upcoming season, each focused on the major characters who haven't yet been killed off in one heartbreaking way or another. Most of these don't offer much new insight into what's going on--Davos seems to be serving as an adviser in Winterfell, Jon has a thick coat on, Cersei is sitting on the Iron Throne, and so on.

Others show Danerys and company seemingly presenting themselves to someone in Westeros, Littlefinger undoubtedly trying to manipulate Sansa, and--best of all--Tormund expressing how he feels about Brienne.

Game of Thrones Season 7 returns to HBO on July 16 but will run only seven episodes, rather than the usual 10 (Season 8 will be six episodes long). You can watch the latest trailer here, though it, too, doesn't reveal much.
