1080p/30fps Tropico 5 PS4 Release Date Announced

PlayStation 4 edition of city-building game arriving in April; watch a new trailer now.


The PlayStation 4 version of city-building game Tropico 5 will launch on April 28, publisher Kalypso announced today. "Our beloved leader El Presidente is finally joining the new generation, and he's never looked this good on console before," the publisher said.

Tropico 5 for PS4 will run at 1080p/30fps, and it also features Remote Play support with the PlayStation Vita. Kalypso also notes that Tropico 5 is the first game in the series to be released for a PlayStation console.

Tropico 5 is currently available on PC and Xbox 360. There are no announced plans to bring the game to Xbox One.

Kalypso has also released a new gameplay trailer for the PS4 edition of Tropico 5, which you can watch above. A limited edition version of the game featuring "The Big Cheese" DLC and the "Bayo Del Olfato" sandbox map will also be available on PS4.

Tropico 5 for PS4 will sell for $60 on disc and via the PlayStation Network.
