10,000 PS4s sold on eBay last weekend
More than two next-generation systems sold every minute November 15-17.
More than 10,000 PlayStation 4 consoles were sold on eBay last weekend, a representative for the online auction site told GameSpot today.
During the November 15-17 period, more than two systems were sold every minute. In all, more than 15,000 PS4 consoles have been sold on eBay since November 1 and there are around 13,000 PS4 listings as of November 18.
It also appears that gamers are taking to eBay to sell their old systems as a means to finance their next-generation console purchases. More than 14,000 used consoles from previous generations were sold on eBay since November 15, which is up 25 percent compared to the 10 days preceding the PS4 launch.
The PS4 officially sold more than 1 million units in 24 hours across North America. Looking ahead, the eBay representative said the company expects demand for the Xbox One through the auction site to be high. That console launches this Friday, November 22.
