This is the best Armored Core game on the PS2.

User Rating: 8.5 | Armored Core: Nexus PS2
There have been lots of Armored Core games on the PS2, but none of them are quite as great as Nexus. It's basically has the same concept as any other Armored Core game, but with harder missions and more customisation it's the best to choose on PS2.

Graphics: 8/10: The graphics in Nexus don't look much, if any different than the previous Armored Core games. but they look good all the same. Two of the bad things about the graphics are that you can't really see enemies that are at a distance. Another dissapointing aspect of the graphics is that the developers spent loads of time on the detail of the robots, but spent hardly any on the environment. The citys are just... cities. No traffic (except for on one mission), hardly any destructible buildings and poor detail. The other environments are pretty much the same as this.

Gameplay 9/10: Nexus has a lot more missions than past AC games. With around 50 or so missions on Evoloution and about another 50 on Revoloutin (The bonus disk). The missions are challenging without being frustrating. You can't just go through the game with one mech. Youwill need to create two or maybye three mechs to get through all of the missions. You also can't just keep on re-trying a mission when you fail. If you fail once or twice the client will terminate the contract for that mission. All on All, Nexus provides good, solid gameplay .

Sound 7/10: The sound is Nexus isn't bad, but it's not exactly original either. The developers have added some new music, but they've also stuck with some old music from past AC games. It's not bad, if you don't mind listening to Insurance Money again.

Replay Value 9/10: The amount of replay value in Nexus is better than what you'd expext from other AC games. Even when you beat the game, it's woeth playing through again just to play the new mission you get by completing missions you couldn't do when you started. You also unlock a few extras when you beat the game, which are good fun.

Closing Comments: Armored Core Nexus iss a great game which will entertain both newcomers to the series and also hardcore AC fans. There is lots of customisation to keep your AC unique and forever growing in power. Armoured Core Nexus is, like I said , the best Armored Core on the PS2.
