This game is a good game if you have low expectations. Unlike the other games in the series, it is mostly AI simulation. True, one can play as a N/U-AC (a "naked" or non-computer controlled Armored Core), but it takes to much effort to win later on in the game. The designers attempted to create a strong storyline, and it's either hit or miss, pending on personal liking. My only severe peeve is that it is constantly 1 vs.1, where multiple ACs "duking it out" would be amazing. However, the graphics are amazing, gameplay is smooth, and the variety of weapons, attatchments, and optional parts is superb. The ability to fine tune not only parts, but the actual AI of your AC adds tremendous depth. Opponents are truly challenging, but don't show a immortal side. The game is great playing through once and attempting to find the weakness of the other competitiors, while maintaining a fine replay value. Definitely don't buy for more then $20, but it is a must have.
