A decent little Diablo clone.

Arkadian Warriors certainly doesn't revolutionize the dungeon crawler. It has zero innovation whatsoever. In fact, this is the most bland dungeon crawler I have ever played. But I still find these games fun so this was worth the time for me. If you have ever played games like Diablo, then you will know what to expect here. The problem is that nothing, other than the gameplay, has any real polish to it. The quests you get from the townsfolk are all fetch quests or "go kill X amount of creatures" and that can certainly get old. The storyline is pretty weak and the game is a bit short for what type of game it is.

But the game is still fun to play. Killing enemies for better items and gold is still as addicting as it has been over the years. There is just something about a dungeon crawler that I can't quite put my finger on. Luckily for Arkadian Warriors, it has that something. The game also looks nice for an XBLA game.

The decision on whether to fork out the $10 it takes to get this game really comes down to if you like dungeon crawlers or not. If you don't, then stay away. If you do and you are in the mood for another round of monster-slaying, then give this game a shot. Just don't go expecting anything to blow you away while playing, but it should be an enjoyable experience overall.
