A very unique game that may take some getting used to, but once you look beyond the exterior, a great game lies inside.

Ar Tonelico is by far a very unique gaming experience, that may be a little hard to grasp at first but is well worth it once you give it a chance. The game focuses on Revytails (women born with the power of song) and your personal relationship with them. Of course there is the whole save the world aspect of the game, but the real item that makes this game shine is the importance of forming relationships with your revytails, which in turns unlocks new songs for them to sing as well as increases your affection towards one another. And depending on which of three girls you choose to devote your time too. You unlock a sweet and wonderful ending with the girl of your choice. It might seem a bit cheesy but for a helpless romantic like myself, games like this are true gems.
Good: Nice battle system that focuses on interaction with your revytail partner to get the job done. Wonderful anime style cut scenes, decent voice acting, cool story.
Bad: Short story, Sprites take a bit getting used to.
