Aqua Teen Hunger Force, the home of the Mooninites, Carl, Balloonenstein and Master “Who bothered to spawn you? And why?” Shake, comes to your cell phone in the form of Aqua Teen Hunger Force Destruct-o-Thon. This is likely the biggest waste of money on your mobile phone since you agreed to hold for that 900 operator. Yes, Shake, Meatwad, and Frylock are all here, and all selectable, though the game plays the same regardless of whom you select. Gameplay consists of hitting the ‘5’ button to center a back-and-forth moving meter to gain momentum along a straight course. At the end of the course, your character selects an angle (with the ‘5’ button; notice a theme here?) to launch whatever object you’re tasked with launching, destroying, etc. Once the object is launched, supposedly beginning the “Destruct-o-Thon,” you watch and see whether the objective for the stage was met. Success unlocks new stages; failure means you can retry the stage. So, this is what you’ll be doing while playing Aqua Teen Destruct-o-Thon, in a nutshell: 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 (wait) (fail). (retry) 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 (wait)(success!). 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 (wait) …. Seeing a pattern here? Because that’s it. That’s the game. Pretty hard to believe the show’s creator’s let them do this with the license, huh?
