The start of a blockbuster series that promises the best of Square Enix.

User Rating: 10 | Kingdom Hearts PS2
Kingdom hearts is the first game in the series. It has all the stuff that you can very much expect from Square Enix, but with a little Disney flare to it. If you think this game is kiddish, you're in for a big surprise. At the time of its realease, the graphics were top notch. The battle system will be a little confusing until you get used to it. The best way to learn the controls is to stay on the Destiny Islands for awhile, which means you can spar against some Final Fantasy and original characters. You meet up with the Disney allies fairly early in the game. Unfortunatley, thier fighting skills are a bit weak and be a little annoying sometimes, like when Sora's HP is getting low, they waste a valuable item(Elixir) on themselves. The majority of the worlds are Disney, but they are long and you can easily get lost. At times the game is frustratingly difficult, but it can be rewarding after beating a boss and watching a good long cutscenes. There is an abundence of both cutscenes and voice acting, which were nailed! The ending is interesting, but a total cliffhanger...so if you liked the first game you going love the two sequals!
