We are all familiar with airplane combat simulators. What about helicopter combat simulators?

I must admit it. I am an airplane combat sim fan. That's why I enjoyed playing H.A.W.X. I was in the battle until I finished it.. I was looking for something else to replace the the new H.A.W.X. 2. I discovered Apache: Air Assault on PC. It didn't took me a lot to rent it and install it. First thing to look of course, the graphics! Not bad at all! I enjoy watching my craft being hit by enemies and observing the details were created on my heli (engine smoke, broken radar etc). Next thing to look the gameplay. Well, if this is your first time maneuvering a heli you should use the non realistic settings cause you won't enjoy it. If you are familiar with other heli sims you should definitely use the realistic settings! Lots of cameras to view and adjust it to your game type. Only four types of weapons to use but let's face it, four weapons is what an Apache needs to accomplish a mission! Plus new helis to unlock (nothing important though). The truth is that I found the story a little bit short. I expected more on that.
The main idea is that it is a well designed flight arcade-sim. I would recommend it as an alternative flight sim. Worth playing. Check it!
