Anthem

I am older by gamer standards, going all the way back to Atari. I have literally spent thousands of hours playing video games on all platforms. I also have an extensive background in IT, and software. As my final bonafide I am writing this for my two kids who game with me and we are all in agreement... This game is simply fun to play. Flight is awesome, plain and simple. You can go almost anywhere, the mechanics of flight are easy, enjoyable and immersive. One of the best parts of flying is landing! Superhero landings, hard on the knees but so cool to watch, and feel through reactive controllers. Combat is almost flawless. Targeting is easy, combos are easy to understand, switching attacks is fluid. Load out feature lets me have endless options. The story is interesting, not great, but as I suspect it will keep growing (like WoW). I have read the expert reviews (Forbes) just bashing this game and I have to say it comes across as a petulant child complaining about the limited bad without focusing at all on the overwhelming good. Squad up, have a blast and don't listen to the nay sayers. You will enjoy Anthem!
