While Angry Birds: Seasons may not be as good as the original, it is still a great game anyone can enjoy.

Angry Birds: Seasons is pretty much like the original Angry Birds, but with a holiday theme. For those who haven't played the original Angry Birds here is some information on it. The story behind it is that these green, circular pigs stole the birds eggs; the birds then go on a pig hunt to get their eggs back from them. To do this you go through levels where you have to fling birds (on a sling-shot) at certain structures in order to knock them down so that the structures fall on the pigs. There are usually multiple pigs in each level and you have to defeat them all before advancing to the next level.

There are several bird types, each with their own unique property. There is the standard red bird which is just a basic projectile; the yellow, triangle bird which charges forward when you tap the screen; the small, blue bird which turns into three birds once you tap the screen; the long, green bird which works as a boomerang when you tap the screen; the white, oval bird which drops an egg when you tap the screen; the black, round bird which is pretty much a bomb; and finally there are giant versions of some of the previously talked about birds, which have the same affect besides being stronger.

The pigs in this game are pretty much all the same, aside from being different sizes. Pigs don't always die when a platform falls on them, but they will pretty much always die when a bird hits them.

There are also several different types of materials that the structures can be made out of, these include: wood, which is the standard material; ice; and stone, which is the most durable. Angry Birds: Seasons also introduces a new type which in snow. Snow is unique in that it can float and carry other things on it until destroyed. There are also different shapes the materials can be like circular, triangular, etc. You will also occasionally find bouncy platforms and other toy like rubber ducks, balloons, etc, which can actually affect gameplay somewhat (like having balloons holding pigs in midair). There are also some hat types which work as extra defenses for the pigs.

Like I previously stated, the main difference between these two Angry Birds games is the Angry Birds: Seasons has a holiday theme. So far there is a Halloween, Christmas, and Valentines Day level pack. More will probably be added at a later date. These themes don't really do much besides change the look of the levels. As of right now there are a good amount of levels that should keep you busy for a few days, and if you are trying to get all three stars on each stage it will take up even more of your time.

Angry Birds: Seasons is pretty much an expansion pack to the first, but it is still a great and fun game you should get for your iPod.
