tough game without team interaction, decent effects, an awesome FREE game!

User Rating: 7.2 | America's Army: Special Forces PC
I am biased by being former Army, but feel this has pretty good realism. It is Free! The learning curve actually is longer than what I listed (1 hour). You must have the controls become second nature or die frequently and be a constant observer. The observation part is definitely a learning experience, however boring it is. The hardware requirements are slightly demanding. The better your computer and access to a good connection (ping) help you tremendously! I love the training areas. It is frustrating if your controls are not set correctly or you are not familiar with the layout, but this is the time to learn your way around and get prepared. Educational to say the least. The graphics can be adjusted to your preference and capability very nicely. I haven't ran into anyone admitting they have voice capability, but am sure it would be a big help in game play (also could be an irritation, I am sure). Several maps are available and more are added every new release. This game makes me glad I didn't go into the Combat Arms fields. I am too aggressive (no camper here though a fair sniper!) and would get shot from my carelessness. See what you can do! GO ARMY! With Vista, I have had more bugs that prevent me from playing as much. I get booted. The game is made for Windows XP. Vista is terrible for gamers to date!
