Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare is an overall satisfying experience. Also an overall disappointment to the series.

Alone in the Dark was the first game I ever trully liked to play. So naturally I picked up every sequal. Alone in the Dark 3 was dissapointing, so I had hoped they might turn the series back around with this addition. While The New Nightmare offered a nice alternative to the Resident Evil series, it did not stand a chance against RE or RE2. A fun, overall enjoyable experience, with some issues with the controls. If you have never played it, may I suggest you rent this one. And if you dont, you are not missing anything big. A good game, but not enough to take on Resident Evil.
