I've been playing Allods Online for two years now -- Ever since the first day of Closed Beta. So, I've obviously got to like the game, right? Right. But I am not going to give it any sympathy at all when it needs to be said. But first off, I'm going to assess what all Free to Play games have in common: The "Item Shop".

So when it was first introduced, the Item Shop in Allods Online was a looming tyrant of greed. Literally everything you needed past your gear and skills was there. Any convenience, any vanity, anything necessary: It was there. Unfortunately, that took out a huge portion of the games population, and it really hurt Allods as a game. BUT, the devs worked very hard on making Allods as free as possible. And now, with the official release, it is. You can get literally everything you need by just playing the game for free.

I don't have too much time, but I will right a follow-up 'actual' review later. This game is worth it, check it out.

(By the way, there is no such thing as a WoW clone, sorry.)
