If you liked "universal combat" (which many of you did not and WOULD not) then this game is worth a try

Every game that has been released by 3000ad, has followed a path. This paths eventual destination is to create the most immersive and expansive game ever made. They want to create a game where you can do (literally) EVERYTHING you would in real life, were you given control of whatever forces that particular game provided.

If this goal sounds ridiculously unattainable to you, then you probably do not need to read on.

Needless to say, in order to create such a detailed game the interface and controls must be equally complex... and they are... to the point that you will actually become bored with the game WHILE LEARNING EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW TO PLAY IT.

Universal combat had this same problem. you had to literally read a book (not a booklet... like 200 pages) in order to even get started.

I am actually quite lazy so I decided to just wing it and figure "all aspect warfare" out as I went. unfortunately I still have yet to do that effectively (and i still have to refer to a printed control reference sheet i made

The graphics are ALRIGHT. they are dated, but not stoneage.

The game play is unforgiving at times, and is sometimes downright impossible.

BUT LET ME MAKE THIS CLEAR:
even though 3000ad has had failed attempt after failed attempt, I REALLY want them to keep at it. I can absolutely see what it is they WANT to achieve, and if they ever actually create a perfected version of it I swear it will change the world of gaming forever. But guys? seriously ease up a bit... baby steps. start slow and then build on it
