Great, great, great multiplayer! Very tactical and engaging.

When i first started playing this with one of my best friends i thought to myself that a free valve made game had to either suck ass or be some kind of "scam". But when we had it downloaded, not many minutes later, we played it for several hours straight. We played it straight through the night, and if i remember correctly, we spent the whole next day playing it as well. I guess its partially because of the entriguing leveling system, the general feel of the game and the cool graphics (considering it a free game). But mostly because we played it together and got that squad feel, i was the assault and he were the medic.
Alien Swarm is a third person shooter, with a multiplayer option up to four players. You can get it off of steam for free. Its a great multiplayer and is extremely fun to play with a few friends. Alot of tactical decisions to be made though extremely short on maps/campaigns. It also has a good "leveling" system, which include weapon unlocks with different calsses. This can easily be recomended for people who want to have some fun with a free game.
