getting more table time than Starcraft2 (sorry Blizzard)

User Rating: 8.5 | AI War: Fleet Command PC
AI War central challenge is about beating the two "AI"s that have pushed the human race out of the way. When you take the reigns, humanity is not even threatening the AI dominance. You have to collect it, nurture it, shape it into a weapon by your wits and then destroy the AI with it. And all the while doing things to keep the AIs from seeing you as a threat. If they begin to see you as a threat due to your aggressiveness, they crush you...

ok a 2d game...with somewhat lame graphics when compared to the eye-candy on the shelves these days... I'm old school so I dont really care. It's still not as bad as buying a top shelf game and getting the feeling it was ported to PC from a 720p console... Anyway, I've got lots of pretty games that hold my interest for a short period of time. If you get bitten by this one, you'll be thinking about it night and day. I even started telling my wife about it after having my base handed to me by some very angry MarkIV ships, and of course she was like "and I care about this...why?" (a good sign)

After a couple of weeks of playing I wonder how could I NOT HAVE KNOWN about this title sooner?

I like to be able to sit with a game and work out the best ways to get the better of the AI and this has been really fun for me with this game. If you dont enjoy being splattered all over the place a few times getting the hang of it then it's not for you.

Ok another thing is that I didnt have to sit around dealing with bugs that should have been worked out a long time ago... because it has been out for awhile, I put my quarters in and started having fun right away which is more than I can say for some titles. It even runs on my 3 year old work laptop with an encrypted hard drive.... Only Torchlight has been able to pull that off up till now...Which bodes well for a little lunch-break action...
