One of, if not, thee best RTS of all time is now playable on your computer. While the game play and the graphics haven't changed that's a good thing since the original rocked. Online play allows you to take your friends on. Also for those who have never played this gem. This RTS actually requires tactics not memorization of build orders. Fun for people of every level of game ability from novice to competitive RTS freak. This (the original 1995 age of empires) was the first computer game I ever played and I've never looked back.
Single player: hasn't changed since the original but now allows for a higher pop cap for more massive battles. Still has the option of creating custom maps and 9! full campaigns.
Multiplayer: Revamped with online gameplay and matchmaking this game requires more strategy than Starcraft and allows for creative strategies to work instead of forcing players to run build orders rigidly if they want a chance to win.
