Not much new here. Should have cost less.

I love the original series. I was thinking that they would have enhanced a lot - but they didn't. The terrain looks the same - the character animations look the same. It seems to take longer to farm wood with this version. So their "Enhanced Visual Engine" is a fail. The only things I can find that are different - is that you get to have over 200 people. The same junk exists where you can only select a small group at a time. It would have been nice to fix that so you can send all your soldiers in at one time.
I bought this game really for the reason of hopefully showing microsoft that people still like the series - in hopes they will make Age of Empires 4. The "HD" version of this game should have cost around $12 imo.
I guess if you like to play this online it might be good for you. I just play the single player - as I don't always have time to play online. I can save my game and resume later with single player.
I hope they make Age of Empires 4
