For Poirot and Agatha Christie's fans this game is like a another bit of Agatha's great histories!

User Rating: 8 | Agatha Christie: Murder on the Orient Express (2006) PC
Murder on the Orient Express is a very good game, with a great story to tell, too bad it is over too soon.
The game has beautiful scenarios, great voice acting and the presence of David Suchet at Poirot's voice. It develops as a upgrade on the original story with so more legwork and a new ending to the game, unfortunately, the game has some major flaws in it that are only overtaken by it's final ending.

The Good:
- Every book character are in the game, you can talk to them, listen their stories and interview them in any order you feel pleased
- David Suchet (yes, I am his fan), well, he is just awesome acting like Poirot, his voice fills the character in every way and you do fill like you're there talking to Poirot himself.
- The scenario is very nice and clean, there are not that extra detail that makes you confuse while you are wandering around. It's almost impossible to get lost during your adventure, the story develops almost logically and it'll be hard for you to not find out what you need to do next.
- The best part and which can overtake EVERY flaw in this game is the third and "new" ending that was made just for this game. It is so good and creative that you almost feel that Agatha was there writing it.
- You'll spend hours and hours and you won't feel that the time has passed, the problem is that the end comes too early.

The Bad:
- The graphics look good at first time, but as soon as you pay attention, the characters don't feel alive, they talk to each other, but their eyes are always solid to one place. It's like controlling robots.
- The legwork starts stupid! In the beginning they demand you to steal a vase to solve a two men discussion, which creates a VERY BAD first impression for the player. When it develops along the game, the legwork becomes interesting, you need to collect and combine items to solve your puzzles, but in the middle of this it gets boring, especially because you need to collect and do a lot of repetition, it becomes to lose it's "magic" along the way.
- Dialogs are long which is good, but they suffer no influence from each other. You can pick up a dialog that is exactly the opposite from the other say it to a person, when they answer, the opposite dialog still remains there and when you pick it up you get another answer with a totally loose and lost context.
- Very short! You'll be surprised when it's getting to the end, because you'll want to do more. More talking, more puzzles, more legwork, but it's all done in the end, too soon, unfortunately.
- Puzzles are easy, for puzzle game fans, it'll be frustrating, but for Agatha fans it won't bother.

In the end, this game has a really good value, you'll get into the history and you'll want to be part of it. And, as mentioned before, the third and final ending makes the game worth! It passes over all the game flaws. And when it's over you'll want more!
