I'm a big FPS, NHL10 and Role playing game fan so you would think that a game like Afrika would not interest me? Wrong!

I pick up the game mostly for my girlfriend but also because I love photography. When I first played that game I was really impress with the graphics while not outstanding, are pretty good. But what it's most impressive is the way animal moves and behave. You could swear they are real animals. If it was not for some collision detection problem, you would believe it.

But more than that, trying to get the perfect picture, close enough to satisfy the need of each customer who ask a photo from you via e-mail is suprisingly immersive. Wait until you get your first fully manual camera and that the games allow you to go wherever you want (because at the beginning you must go where the driver bring you).

You may think that sitting down, doing nothing for 10 minutes, waiting for that damn giraffe to come to the tree where you climbed is dull right? Think again. Trying to anticipate the path of an animal to get close without getting your ()&* kicked is fun. Showing your photos to your friend or girl friend the day after is also very engaging.

But most suprising thing about this game is that you can really make beautifull photo with Depth of field, playing with light, speed, blur and the way the rising sun reflect on objects is awsome.

I'm only at the beginning of the game but everytime I see a new animal, I'm almost as excited as if I would see one for real.

The missions keeps things interesting and there are some shot that are very hard to get. This damn Crowned Krane close-up I need now is making me swear I will kill one of these bird so that they stand still long enough for me to shoot my damn photo.

Try it, you'll be surprise.
