Action 52 is a terrible compellation of 52 games that has no redeeming qualities of any kind.
The Good:.................fun here isn't it?
The Bad: Needless to say, everything you can imagine about a game.
Design: This game includes 52 different( and endless) mini-games, kinda like Mario Party or maybe Wario Ware, right? But! Every single game stinks, whether its a 2D shooter, arcade shoot'em up or just a plain 2D side-scroller, every stinkin' game is utter junk. While the game has almost every existing genre at the time, the games are broken in every possible way. Score: 1.0
Graphics: Remember, Action 52 was made in 1991, the same time games like Super Mario bros 3, and Tecmo Super Bowl were out. So in comparison this game's graphics are a puddle of mud compared to the other games that were out. Even in the NES's early years this game would have not looked that good. Also, the graphics have serious issues like constant drawing problems and many other things. Score: 1.0
Sound: Like the graphics, the sound is just broken in every way and no where near the norm at the time. Sound effects, music, everything. Just terrible. Score: 1.0
But the worst is yet to come
Gameplay: All the genres Action 52 has displayed here are standard, just broken in that sense. But still, 2D platformers play like 2D platformers and its all the same, just broken. At least they didn't utterly destory what the games are. However, the jumping is weak and floaty, you die every minute,the level design is just horrible, but most of all YOU DON"T HAVE ANY FUN. Score: 1.0
You want the very worst? Here! Have it!
Value: Oh noes. Not this. Why do I have to review this? Uggh. Well, the thing includes 52 games and each game cost about 3.85$ for each game. What that times 52? 200$. No, really 200$. How? Why? Would anyone buy this? Did anyone buy this? Since all 52 games are broken, the graphics/sound are terrible and it 200$ make it the worst game ever. At least Superman 64 was normal price. Score: 0
Worst rip-off ever, worst game ever really sum up Action 52. Also, many levels in the game have impassable points. More reason that this game should never have been released. EVER.
Real Score would be 0.5 but 1.0 is as low as I can go.
