The transition to "real world" came smoothly and the new Ace Combat installation is as awesome as ever.

User Rating: 9 | Ace Combat: Joint Assault PSP
The new AC installment take place in the more common "real" world, rather then classic AC world. So you'll get to see famous location like Egyptian Pyramids, Tokyo Tower, Big Ben and others. But do not be mistaken, it's still Ace Combat, so you'll have yor fair share of missiles and targets, as well as giant aircrafts, you'll have to fight.
The new enemy ace sqadron, that you'll clash with throghuot the game will pose a real challenge, and, good news, this time it consist of individually distinctivbe pilots, each of whom have their own personalty.
The game mechanics have some new features, such a dynamic camera, that will make keeping target in sight, while dogfighting, slightly easier (a feature, that is nessesary for PSP with it's single analog stick).
The aircraft-related bonuses, now depends of your usage of each plane, i.e. the more you stick with it, the more bonuses (skins and special weapons) will be available with time.
New upgrades to your arsenal include not only additonal special weapons, but also replacements fo standart missile and allow (somewhat) customizable weapons layout.
Customization is now awailable for all planes, but certian upgrades are only compartible to splecific planes, so make sure, your plane supports this equipment, before buying it.
You'll be also able to unlock additonal emblems to place on your plane, such as squadron markings and numbers.
Story is now told through "rendered-comics" styled wideo. It's not bad and goes in classic AC style with conspiracies, double--crossing, and ulterior motives each faction have. There's a copule of cliches though, so expect "abandoned soviet missile base" at one point.
As for graphics, the level of improvement is similar to AC Zero's improvement over AC5. The planes became more detailed, and there are more objects on the map, bot overall graphics is pretty similar to ACX.
Last, but not least. Music. Music which will make the eyes of all die-hard AC fans shed happy tears, since the game will meet you with briefing tune form Electrosphere and ace encouners will be met with Ace Combat 2 rock compositions.
Unfortunately, I was not able to test co-op feature since the CFW that allowed me to enjoy the game a few days earlies makes it tricky to play throught the Ad-hoc.
All in all ACX2 is a great game, that is a must have for every fan and will also be worth buying to all PSP owners.
