While Star Voyager is one of the most complicated games to be released. It remains a overall good game for the NES.

User Rating: 9 | Acclaim's Star Voyager NES
Star Voyager is one of those games you play at night to waste some time and enjoy the NES with. While not everybodys favorite game I thought Star Voyager gave some decent gameplay and a great adventure for the NES. Gameplay - Based in space, Star Voyager gives another game with metroid like gameplay it's just on Samu's starship this time. You basicly go around in a starship using up fuel to land on planets to gain powerups and hope there's somebody to give you one! There's also "gas" stations. You'll have to group up with a UFO-like space craft to re-fuel your ship in order to get into hyper space. Once you gain all the powerups (if you can ever get them) which you'll need in odrder to defeat the invading "aliens" coming to earth (and trust me you'll nee dto get them). The aliens start moving closer to earth the more time you waste playing the game so it takes about an hour till there reach there destination. You get turbo lasers all kinds of power-ups that are really neat which gives the game more life. Graphics - Graphics kick ass in this game decent colors and metroid-like detail make it more interesting. It is just a 8-Bit system but gives us the graphics of a decent NES game. Sound - I have to give the sound a 9 because if you let the game sit you'll notice this kick ass theme they should have left in the game and it's just awsome. Sound effects are 80s style which kicks ass. Only reason I don't give it a 10 is because there's only a few gameplay tracks that aren't the best. Overall a NES game that is a collectors and I'm proud to have in my collection. Not a game every NES gamer would like but I enjoyed it. As you can see 5.6 as a rating isn't great but I can assure that most of the ratings aren't from people who played this game when released like I did. The only way to fully enjoy this game is to enjoy the classics and live in the days of NES. That's why I give it a 9.
