7 Blades suffers from dodgy gameplay elements, what a waste!

This game could be described as a Japanese remeake of the horrible Fighting Force 2. It doesn't look like there has been any attention to the way the many useless battles are being fought. You just have to press the shootbutton and see where the ship will hit the rocks. This can be forgiven if the game had a better storyline and more variations in gameplay. Unfortunately this isn't the case and I was doomed to fight hordes of zombie ninja's and bewitched crows without finding a little fragment of fun.

The only gameplayvariation is hidden in the beginning of the game, because that's where you can choose if you want to play with Gokurakumaru (the male) or Yuri (the female). Gokurakumaru is good with swords, and since he has 7 of them I think that's where the game title comes from. Yuri likes guns and she has a whole arsenal of them. From the beginning to the end of the game you will encounter hordes of enemies non-stop. You won't have to do much to exterminate them, just press the fire button.

There is something good to say about 7 Blades tough, maybe not in the graphics department because it looks like a Playstation one game or the sound, because you won't get happy from it. But the way the story is being told is nice. This happens with cool animations. These FMV's give the game an authentic Japanese style and that gives the game a little class.
