Genesis 6-Pak is the best game you can get for your Sega Genesis.

The Sega Genesis is home to alot of really great games. All of the Sonic the Hedgehog games are classic and there are at least a dozen or so other excellent platformers and shooters available. The one problem with most of these games is that they don't have the depth and long lasting value of most of the games we play today. How does Sega remedy that? By giving you six games in one carteridge. The result is awesome, if you only buy one game for your Genesis ever, make it this one.

. Genesis 6-Pak contains the following games: Sonic the Hedgehog (the first one), The Revenge of Shinobi, Golden Axe, Streets of Rage, Columns and Super Hang-On. The reason that this collection is so great is that half of the games in it are must own games for the Genesis and the other half all hold up well and are still a lot of fun. Plus, there is the added bonus of not having to switch carts each time you want to switch games (though you will have to turn the system on and off to get back to the game selection menu which is a bit annoying). .

These games cover a nice variety of genres and are a good example of what old-school gaming does best: providing easy to jump into gameplay with excellent level variety and a good level of challenge. The graphics are mixed overall, Sonic still looks great, Shinobi and Golden Axe look descent while Streets of Rage and Super Hang-On look pretty dated, (Columns looks fine, but bear in mind, it is just some colored blocks). Though the graphics vary in quality, the sound is excellent in each game, the music is classic and sounds clean. As do the sound effects (except for the screams in Streets of Rage). . In the end, Genesis 6-Pak has more than you could ever want from a game that will run you less than $10. Some excellent single player experiences in Sonic and Revenge of Shinobi, simplistic yet enjoyable 2-player beat-em-ups in Golden Axe and Streets of Rage and nostalgic puzzle and racing action in Columns and Super Hang-On. Though none of these games are hands down the best game for Genesis, when you put them all together into one game, that game becomes the best value and overall quality available for the system.
