The one thing about this game that I truly like is that it is a first. Or a second if you consider this a continuation even though its just a remake. Many people would claim that it's a rip-off of Test Drive Wide Open. But come on: Wide Open only had about three levels. Im for real, rent it if you dont believe me. The games overall basis is this: run wild. You can go off the roads and explore the huge maps, and Kaoitey likey that. But after hours and hours of my life wasted on this game, alas, it becomes apparent: It was never at its full potential. The levels could have had more interaction, the comp AI could have been smarter, and their could have at least been some customization. The graphics, as known by the GC, are not the best in the world. But I dont think they were even on the PC or the Xbox versions. There were a few tree reflections on the trucks, but it was all the same. The water reflections were null, and at least you could see for a long distance. The sound got on my nerves. The constant rumbling of the same truck engine on all the vehicles gets tiresome. And dont bother to turn on the music, its just some noise by some unknown guy hired to make it. Turn up the volume on your CDs or mp3 player (for those of you that have them) and play this one. I dont believe I know how many hours I actually spent on this. But I assure you it was a lot. Not one single game Ive played to date has made me play it for so long. Im hoping that in the future, we'll see a better version of this game. With a real soundtrack, bigger & better levels, better customization, and more trucks: Honda Ridgeline, Nissan Titan & Armada, and a whole slew of others.
