Way off track. Gets boring in a couple of hours. Not so much fun.

(This is my first review ever so cut me a little slack if I screw up on my first try. But ill be making more in the future.) Ok. 4X4 EVO 2. So i get the game, i bring it home, put it in my XBOX. Wow, at first I thought this game was allright. With the career mode, missions, free roam, and more, I didnt know where to start. I started with the missions in career mode. The first couple of missions were pretty kool, like being an explorer dude that finds old canoes, or delivering food to the homeless. But, when i got to the harder missions, they took me FOREVER to do. And eventually it got boring. I finally beat them, and unlocked some new tracks, which was kool. Then i decided to start doing tournament races and stuff. I was pretty good but it was hard. I used some cheats, (dont tell no one), to get a little money and a good rep, but turns out, it didnt really help me that much. The money did but after i upgraded my vehicle, it's like the COM players got all pimped out too. I started losing so bad. So i just lost interest in that since i couldnt beat a freakin race after like 50 times!

Lets talk about some of the other problems. The water isnt the best obstacle to run into, cuz if u do, ur gonna get stuck. U cant drive in the water, not that ur suposed to but still. I do free roam most of the time cuz i like driving around looking at the mud and dirt and water....but yet again, IT GETS SO BORING! I was entertained for a couple of hours, but once u do most of the missions and do races and upgrade ur car, its really really hard and less interesting. Another thing is that if u go up a hill without a winch or box or watever, u wont get up the hill. Also, lets say if u hit a tree or something. Its not a very good reaction. I mean u just either bounce off of it, or get stuck. And the AI isnt all that great, despite bad sound effects.

LUCKILY, there was actually some life savers. I like the fact that u can play ur own music while driving. Thats pretty nice. I also like the fact of upgrades to ur car, except if u do, its like the COM reacts to it also. And 1 more thing that i like is the environments. Like this one track had some construction machines working while ur racing. Its kool cuz it s like an obstacle but it doesnt make u mad...like water or rocks.

Overall, this game is allright. However, they could have tweaked some stuff and added more missions and fix the AI. At first this game was entertaining, but it gets boring pretty fast. I know this is a very very very old game, but i just wanted to review it. If ur looking for an offroad game, look on the 360 or something. I give it a 6 out of 10.
