Definitely not a bad game, well not the online portion

User Rating: 9.2 | 25 to Life PS2
Single player AI sucks. It's like going against still objects that shoot back. Besides who wants to play as some punk gangster. Back to online. Play as cop or criminal. Customize your character from head to toes, clothes, skin, weapons. About gameplay. I absolutely hate FPS and any game that uses respawn all the time for ranked normal games. 25 to Life does respawn right. You spawn in an area, but in different spots each time. Hit detection is right on track, something a lot of games lack. You can create clan, have friends list, keep track of rating and rank and THANK GOD THEY DON'T USE GAMESPY. Different control setups are available and best part is that you can turn off the music, for those who don't enjoy gangsta life/crime/hate/angry rap. If you have broadband internet, this game is definitely worth every penny of it's $40 price tag. Stay far away if you are in it for single player, although some of the player customizations are unlocked as you beat the game.

Online Cons:

-When you get close to an enemy the gun sort of aim assists which can throw you off a bit
-Right now joining games is as hard as it was when Socom 3 came out
-Cannot switch your weapons during a game, but you can take your enemies gun until you die

Pros:

-Nice controller layouts
-Non stop action
-Good selection of weapons
-Great player customizations
-Supports headsets, not open mic, big +
-Really no lag even if the room shows high pings
-Host can force room to start if people are idle
-Nice selection of maps/modes/game options
-Great alternative to Socom 3/GTA
-If you're addicted to any socom(online) or gta game, this will be no different

I still think Socom is the best shooter out there, but if you want non stop action that plays very well go with 25 to Life.
