Awesome but missing what the original had

Anyone who has played this game as well as the original predecessor, 1080 Snowboarding for the N64 would agree that while this game has stellar graphics, cool level design and is quite good all around, it doesnt have what the original had. Really 1080 Snowboarding was a revolution in the genre, as at that time all we had was lame rehashes of Coolboarders which wasnt even all that enjoyable of a PS1 game series to be honest. Really while 1080 Avalanche has some of that original nostalgia with the amazing level design and the numerous paths you can take, as well as the original cast of characters with a revamped look, it doesnt stack up AS well as its older brother for replayability and multiplayer.
Yet this series maintains a consistant form of quality while other snowboarding games like SSX which are all flash and no substance at least it keeps the realism of snowboarding to some extent.
