More of the same, but is that so bad?

Yes, it is more of the same game that has been played the last 3 times. The controls are the same, the characters are the same, the idea is the same, but then that makes it so easy to just slip right in and start where you left off. Instead of spending the first section of the game having to go through "training," you can jump right in and start the story.
Good point - there is so much open to do and so many places to wander that you can spend hours just fighting. This is great when I just want to do a "dungeon crawl" or stock up on items or money. I can still go wander so I still hop back on just for an occasional hack-n-slash.
Bad point - there is only so much random generation. The dungeons do get a little bit repetitive. The overall story was a bit of a let down, almost too easy when I finally reached the end. Maybe that huge dungeon at the end was supposed to be part of the final boss battle feeling, but at the end of it I just wanted it over.
