ATI to produce XPERT Play Accelerator Board
Based on 3D RAGE PRO, XPERT is poised to give console systems a run for their money.
ATI Technologies announced a new graphics accelerator add-in board for PCs called XPERT Play. XPERT Play advertises arcade quality gameplay and better graphics quality than console systems. The product enhances 3-D, 2-D, and DVD video, contains an MPEG card and converts PCs to TVs. It's based on ATI's 3D RAGE PRO chip and will be shipped on June 27.
