1. Rule Lock and Special Custom Menu

   Select the Mode Option on the main menu screen with both the A and B buttons, and hold the buttons down till the next menu fully loads. Then go to the Custom, and at the bottom screen will be two new options: Rule Lock and Special Custom.

   If you look through the game's files, you'll find a few dev notes. ABSTRACT.TXT gives a brief overview, BOBLIOGR.TXT gives publisher listing and mentions that it's the Mega Drive version, and COPYRIGH.TXT contains the dev team credits.

1. Easy win with high experience

   In the custom menu, limit the colors of Puyo Puyo to 2 (put color minus to 3). Now try to fight the CPU and make disappear all the puyo puyo on your side of the field as quickly as possible, it sends 4 lines of garbage puyo to the opponent. It becomes far easier to win because the CPU is slow to clear his field and you will earn more than 20 000 experience after each fight.

   PS:In the first fights in normal puyo puyo, there seems to be only one color of puyo so you just have to press down and wait some time, the CPU always loses.

2. Best ending

   In normal Puyo Puyo mode, have at least 180 000 experience and don't use any continue to fight Masked Satan after Rulue instead of Satan. Defeat him to view the best ending.

3. Custom menu

   In the options, enter game mode and let the cursor on exit game mode 10-15 seconds. Instead of the description, there will be a message saying "Huh? You've discovered the secret area. Now you can access the custom menu.". Quit game mode and now you can enter custom, which allows you to limit the colors of the puyo puyo and watch a match between CPU.

1. Puyo Visual Codes

   All of the following cheats are to be entered during the opening sequence, after the Compile screen.

   Effect	Effect
   1+2+Start	Inverts the Puyos' colors.
   Left, Up, Left, 2, 1. A sound effect will play if correct.	Makes Puyos have a human form.
   Up, 1, Down, 2, Right, 1, Left, 2 (16 times). A sound effect will play if correct.	Puyos will have a different form for each opponent.

Puyo Puyo Tsuu Cheats For Turbo CD

1. Extra Animation Mode

   You need a multi tap for this code to work. At the main menu, highlight the 3rd option (Options mode). Now, hold Left on Controller 5 and press I on Controller 1. You'll enter the options and once inside, hit Exit and repeat the code again. If done right, you'll be able to change "Animation" from Normal to Arrange 1 or Arrange 2.

2. All The Characters

   You need a multi-tap with a 4th controller available for this code to work. At the title screen, highlight the the 2 players mode (second option), hold Right on Controller 4 and press Button 1 on Controller 1. If done right, all the characters will be unlocked in the 2 players mode.
