A 360 rendition of Zuma? You need a mouse, dammit!

What a nightmare this game is, at least for me. Zuma's difficulty level hasn't been altered at all from the PC version. I should know, I have both. The thing with the 360 port of PopCap's famous puzzler is that you have to use an analogue stick instead of a mouse, which makes removing coloured spheres take more time than the PC version.

As you know, with most Xbox 360 games, the difficulty is pretty hard because it's on a console for hardcore gamers. I mentioned that the difficulty for Zuma on the 360 wasn't at all altered from the PC version? Yes. Yet it manages to be a lot harder than the PC version! It's all because of the awkward controls, really. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not bashing Zuma. But I feel the 360 version should have at least reduced the difficulty level somewhat because of the whole controls problem.

The PC version is superb for controls, though. Everything happens instantly when moving little Froggy to whatever degree from his fixed position. It flows nicely, like a river. Ahh, what a river! Having said that, it's still a pretty hard game even on PC. I haven't gotten to a completely impossible area yet, but I doubt I'll see the game to the end.

Thus, I recommend this game only to the biggest fans of Zuma who can play pretty much any version thrown at them perfectly. By all means, try out the Xbox Live Arcade port to add to your challenge!
