I heard ZOE2 can be played in any difficulty contrary to ZOE1 but I still see trophy guide saying this is the hardest trophy to get.
Exaggeration or its can be made easier with preparation?

It's difficult because there's so much going on and if even a single LEV goes down you're screwed. On a normal run-through I can finish that zone with a single LEV down and that's enough to kill the score.
Then again, I never bother using Geyser on the damaged LEVs. They've made Leo a little more intelligent this time, so as long as he's not completely surrounded he'll be at a damaged LEV pretty darn fast if you tag it with Geyser. A good portion is just reading the enemy swarm and going after the heavy sections first, but the rest is knowing when a LEV is about to go down and tagging it with Geyser to get repaired.
So basically...it's 'hard' because you can't just run in there and spam homing missile to do it, hahaha.

I could never do it on PS2 yet I did it on my first try on PS3. I'm a lot better now then I was back then though but still, as long as you keep moving and keep up with the units that are in the most danger its not super bad. I had more problems with first SOS/Protection part.

I hate to sound like Leo because he's an annoying brat, but...are you using Geyser on the damaged LEVs? And are you trying this on New Game+? If so, use Naked Jehuty and spam homing missile until you see a LEV near critical then get over there and Geyser it so Leo will repair it. Like I said on a usual run-through (without using Geyser even once) it's fairly simple to complete the stage having lost only a single LEV. Had I bothered to use Geyser it could've been zero.
Naked Jehuty. Homing Missiles into the biggest swarms of enemies. Keep moving and don't ever stop. Geyser on the critical LEVs.
