The Good: Fast-paced zombie killing, nice assortment of weapons, killing zombies with environmental hazards just feels good.

The Bad: Not enough stages, Later levels are rehashed and boring and are more of a nuisance than they are difficult

Zombie Apocalypse is a fun little arcade-style shooter that is geared toward multi-player co-op killing and, while it has its downfalls, is surprisingly addictive.

The first few stages, at least the first playthrough, are a lot of fun. Killing the zombies feels natural and looks cool. However, after about level 10, the levels keep repeating, the zombies keep repeating, and the frustration level (not necessarily difficulty level) shoot through the roof.

If you can get a good team together, and one that works very well as a unit, this game is VERY fun. Even the later levels that are horribly boring are enjoyable, which is what I think the designers of this game were shooting for. That said, this game is only really fun if you play with at least two people, and I would recommend three or four, because the later levels are almost impossible to traverse alone. And when you play multiplayer, make sure you do so online and not locally, because the local multiplayer flat-out sucks. You cannot move your character off of the screen unless all of your partners come with you. So, definitely no three or four local sessions, but if you decide to play with one other person locally, make sure you have a game plan and trust them to follow it, otherwise you will find yourselves very frustrated.

The trophies in this game are a little too easy, and 100% completion on this game can be done in literally a couple of hours if you really want to, regardless as to what your skill level is. This is because you get unlimited continues when playing through any game mode (granted, your score resets and won't be sent to the leaderboard, but that's not really the focus here).

Overall, I think it's decent value. If you're really into killing zombies, or arcade-style shooters, then the $10 price tag isn't too steep. My advice would be to go in with a friend or two and split the price amongst yourselves, so it is cheaper, and then just download it to each person's PS3, because you're going to want to play with friends online and it rarely works out to play with randoms.
