GREAT GAME!!! but not without its problems

Although I was slightly dissapointed with Zoids: Battle Legends (ZBL), this completely changed my view.

The game is very similiar to ZBL but has a few differences. One good difference is the addition of more characters, battle fields and Zoids including flying Zoids! Also some of the non flying Zoids can be customised so they can fly. However these Zoids can loose altitudes quite quickly if you stop using it (its used like the booster and shield). I like the flying Zoids addition but theres just not enough of them. The new locations are ok with my favourite being a flying whale King!! However, my old favourite the city is only available in some places. Also like giant Zoids cant be on certain small fields, the same is for flying Zoids so there isnt the best selection.

Another addition is the inclusion of a 4 player battle. This would be quite good if it wasnt for four bad things:
1. EXTREMELY small screens! meaning that its hard to tell what weapon your using.
2. Lack of Flying and Giant Zoids
3. Lack of decently sized fields. The only fields that can be used are tiny coloured things which are just stupidly small
4. (and most irratatingly) MASSIVE SLOWDOWN!! This is worse than in ZBL! Almost everywhere else in the game slowdown is barely noticable which is better than the previous title but not in 4 player mode!

I would prefer to have seen a co-op battle mode because this is an awful addition!

All other modes remain with the addition of a gallery which is where you can view your or cpu owned Zoids. One great addition to the Story mode is seen at the start with a training mode. I enjoyed this but i think it should have been seperate. One bad thing about the story is that only the "good" side is available for play making it more limited.

The controls remain the same however, most Zoids can now do a 180 degrees turn which causes the zoid to skid across the floor. An interesting change is seen in the blading which are used by Zoids like the Blade Liger. you only have a set limit of using the blades. Every second you hold the button down (while its selected) it counts down like ammo. I like this as it makes blading more of a skill where in the previous game you could easily defeat an enemy by circling it with your blades.

In conclusion, this game is overall better than Zoids: Battle Legends. However, its still got alot of problems which need to be ammended before it can be called perfect.
