Zenonia 2: Yin & Yang, the Good & the Bad, what's solid & what's jelly.

User Rating: 9.5 | Zenonia 2: The Lost Memories AND
Zenonia, the title's been around for quite a while now and there's a reason for that. Zenonia like no other enchants you with amazing graphics, captivating maps, inclusive story and many more. But being so amazing and all, it has it's flaws as well.

Story & Quests
For most part the story is simple and dull, but it has it's moments. Unexpected turns just suck you in and make you want to advance further to find out where it gets you which is not always as easy as you might want it to be. Quite a few times you will be delayed by your inadequate level and/or equipment. That will leave you struggling to get those exp points in one place, getting bored to the bone. That might lengthen the story though, but it's already decently long.
Non-story quests will often be easy as killing a few monsters, but in some cases you'll have to travel way back to get the needed items/ingredients to complete it. And that can be quite a bother because lower level foes rarely drop what you want. But all-in-all both quests and the story work fine for a RPG of this caliber.

Maps & Mobs
Zenonia gives you 3 unique towns all with own style and structure. All spots have same places, inns, portals, shops and blacksmiths. The game also has 5 dungeons which are well integrated into the story.
The landscape changes throughout the story followed by the beautiful art it gives. The maps really are unique starting with light green woods to dark hot lava dungeons inside a volcano. Along with maps, monsters change as well. You get to battle Bears, living Trees, Fire balls, Scorpions, Thieves and even fluffy marshmallows. It really does not get better than this.
Boss battles... They're not challenging at all. You just hit hit and the run around for a few seconds. Repeating that will surely cause that big boy to fall. I believe that boss battles was the biggest letdown in this marvelous adventure.

Characters & Items
Well, it's basic. You get to select one of four heroes:
I. Warrior
A close combat machine with steel fists powerful enough to upper-cut Gyerados.
II. Magician
Good old magy. Long range sparkle powerhouse.
III. Shooter
She's a lot like Bruce Willis, only with a lot more hair and an extra shotgun.
IV. Paladin
Defense freak.

All are unique. All have different items. All rock.
Speaking of items, there is a massive number of these. MASSIVE!. Helmets, boot, gloves, swords... Everything. There's also different ways to acquire them. You can either spend a few hours slaying mobs for items with additional effects, you always go buy them in the shop or you could visit the mysterious gnome at the inn, who'll give you items not only with upgrades, but also for a double price.
All items are upgradeable, you can even make things from recipes. The blacksmith's always there, just waiting for you to come in.

Overall

The game is great, it really is. And comparing the price and quality, it's definitely worth every last penny. Besides, if you're not sure, you can always try the demo witch is for free in the market.
