It's propably the best game in series, it contains far more cards than the previews games and has a ton of unlockables.

User Rating: 10 | Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters: World Championship 2008 DS
In my opinion this is a game for every DS-owner who wants to have fun and play a lot of hours.

- Beginners will find this game fantastic as the rules are explained in-game in actual duels ans there's also a booklet wirh the rules so they'll learn to play Yu-Gi-Oh in minutes even if they never knew to play.
-Semi-Yu-Gi-Oh fans will find this game a masterpiece as it has many cards and playability.
-Yu-Gi-Oh fans will be a little dissapointed as many populars cards are missing including some key cards, but they'll sure love it.
-Collectors will definetely want this game as it contains 3 limited edition rare cards inside the pack.

CARDS:
It contains 2008 cards, including some of the very latest cards but some popular cards are missing. For example yesterday I checked my Yu-Gi-Oh card collection and more than 200 of my cards are not in the game.
But that's nothing to worry about. There are tons of different cards available that you can create many different decks including almost completed series of Gravekeepers, Elemental Heroes, Destiny Heroes, Gladiators, Six Samurai and more.
A different card is available for download everyday via wi-fi connection, although you can aquire every card in the game without having the previous games (not compatible) or wi-fi connection. In some occasions there'll be cards available for download who are not included in the 2008 cards such as the God Cards.

GAME FEATURES-GAMEPLAY:
There are two different modes, Duel World and World Champiomship. In Duel World you'll have to duel random monsters, solve puzzles, play minigames, but the main goal is to find the gate of each world in order to procceed to the next world (6 worlds in total). In world championship mode you have to duel the monsters you unlock in Duel World in order to unlock packs, wardrobe, new duel discs and more. There's is also a new feature, the Tourmament mode. The real new thing in this game is the Tag duels. You can duel opponents 2 on 2 using as partners duelists you've beaten 10 times or ghosts(which are downloadable via wi-fi). Also there are duelists to unlock from the original Yu-Gi-Oh anime and the original Yu-Gi-Oh GX anime.

GRAPHICS AND SOUND:
All the monsters are in 3D form and some of them have a full 3D animation when summoned. Some of them are not so well-pixeled but that's ok.
The sound is rather good with a variety of themes and remixes from the previous version, it's just good and it resembles to a Yu-Gi-Oh game.

CONCLUSION:
If you are a Yu-Gi-Oh fan and a DS fan this game is a must.
If you've never played Yu-Gi-Oh before you'll like it.
If you don't like card games don't buy it.
If you have played "Yu-Gi-Oh! Nightmare Troubadour" and you'll liked it this game is a must.
If you've played "Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Spirit Caller" and you liked it this game is a must.
If you've played "Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2007" and you liked it, this game is similar but this new version has more features.

Personally, I own all the previous DS versions and my opinion is that this game is the best in the series. More cards, more things to do, more feautures. I guarranty you'll have fun whether or not you've played the previous DS versions.

And don't forget.... IT'S TIME TO DUEL!!!
