Grab a DS and dive into the Yu-Gi-Oh! 2007 World Championship Tournament!

User Rating: 8.5 | Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2007 DS
Since it's first appearance in 1996 Japan the popular kids trading card game Yu-Gi-Oh! has taken the world by storm, even if the original anime didn't do so well. It became even more popular in 2001 when the anime and cards reached the US, and it still holds strong as one of the most popular trading card games to date.
Now enough about the anime and TCG, on to the game itself. At first it looks like a regular YGO:WCT, pick your opponent, decide who gets first turn, etc., etc.. But after playing your first monster card, you get a pleasant surprise, a 3-d image of the monster you summoned, and if it's a strong monster, you get a little cinematic as well.
The gameplay is that classic Yu-Gi-Oh! formula we all know and love, play your cards right, and you get a reward of "Duel Points" or DP, which can be used to buy more cards or change your avatar's appearance.
The graphcs fir a game using anime graphics on a Ds are good, but I feel as if they could've done a bit better.
There is no story, just battle opponents until you unlock the next set and collect all the cards.
The music is fairly O.k., but it's not really that important for this game.
The controls are standard Ds point-and-click or standard buttons, so not much to really talk about there.

Time for the judging!
