I played just about every Yu-Gi-Oh! games on the GBA, this easily owns them all. Why? Read on...

User Rating: 8.7 | Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Monsters EX 2006 GBA
This is the best Yu-Gi-Oh! game available on the GBA - or anywhere! I don'y know why... I just never had so fun on any Yu-Gi-Oh! game since Eternal Duesilt Soul. I played Eternal Duelist Soul and enjoyed it all the way, it taught me how to play Yu-Gi-Oh! and was just different. When World Wide came out, I thought, yeah, been here, done that. All that was new is that there was a little story. Then that one become my fav. Next game I played was Sacred Cards. I was disgusted. The rules totally changed, the in-duel graphics stunk hard! It just SUCKED. Then I got World Championships 2004. Well then I was just plain bored with it... It didn't have that spark in it. Next I tried Reshef of Destruction and again was disgusted, it was the same as Sacred Cards. Got 7 Trials and again, it was boring, just didn't feel anything... it was weird and stupid. Gah, I don't know why even got another one! Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Duel Academy. Well, still nothing, no spark. Then this game. It just got me back!

When you star a new game you get to choose a stucture deck! Everything from Dragon's Roar to the latest one. You just choose something from your selections and do somthing. Free Duel, is like the new "Campagin" mode. And instead of dueling people from the anime - or any people at all - you duel monsters from the game. It may sound wierd or put you off, but its for the greater good. Each monster has its own card, and has cards to power its own card, or any other similar cards. Think of it as a Duelist with that as his/her fav card, and other cards that are similar. They all have their own strengths and weaknesses. And you start of with the weaker monsters, the "Level 1 Tier". After you beat all them you get one from the Level 2 Tier, if you beat all the monsters in the Level 1 tire a number of times you get more Level 2s. Kinda like Eternal Dueslit Soul. The duels can get really confusing if you are a first timer, it didn't take long for me to get used to it.

There are more modes, like the Challenge, where you choose a senario, and you have a set number of cards in our hand, graveeyard, deck and field, Life Points (this goes for the opponent too). And with the cards you have you have to beat the opponent in the turn you start on. And yes it is challenging. And thats just one of them, there are some more but I'll go into one more. The "Get Cards" is like a shop, where you use Duel Points that you earned by dueling (duh) to buy Booster Packs! The booster packs you find in real stores! "Legend of Blue Eyes White Dragon", "Magician's Force" and LOTS more. This really pumped me up. I want to get EVERY SINGLE CARD! I started of getting cards I have in real life! And this is why it was every single cent, over 2000 cards. 2000. OVER. That is LOTS.

The graphics are not easy to take in. Well with 2000 cards and so many different interactions it can do with another card, it ain't easy to make the graphics astonishing too. To be honest I think out of the Yu-Gi-Oh! games, Duel Academy had the best graphics. And this is not close to that. Yu-Gi-Oh! game weren't meant to be recognised for its sound. Just its solid gameplay. So turn the volume down, and listen to some music :P

As said before, over 2000 cards, it feels so limitless. So many different decks you can make out of all that! But first you'll have to duel your way to earn all that, so it'll last for a very long time. This game is the best Yu-Gi-Oh! game too date! Get this if you like Yu-Gi-Oh! a little or lots. I like it just as much as I hate it, but I like it more then I hate it... if that makes sense.
