This actually may be the worst game for the Gamecube, and definately the worst YuGiOh licensed game.

My memory is sort of vague on how this game works, but I remember getting it from Gamestop for 40 dollars. Returned it immediately because it was so horrible. I really tried to like it too, I'm kinda easy to please with Video games. Hell, as bad as some of the other YuGiOh games are, none of them almost made me cry like this one.

From what I can remember, this game is sort of a hybrid RTS/RPG game, where you control groups of monsters from the show to take control of forts. That's how the single player worked anyway. Nothing is really explained about the gameplay - you kinda have to figure it out. I just remember seeing this virtual reality story involving Yugi and his friends, and suddenly your controlling groups of monsters. Customization is very limited, and there's really nothing interesting about the battle system, it takes the most basic things from RPGs and RTSs and the result is a mess. The map segments are so slow and linear they might as well not be a part of the game.

It's not even the kind of game I can laugh at either, it's more like, why does it even exist?
