Pleasant for a fan of the series but for others . . .
Graphics : 3.5 / 10
The game looks like hell. If they would have had used the full power of the ps2 the graphics would have been better -.- . The nice is that there are some animations done for the opponents but non for the main character (player) and only a few monsters have animations. The graphics of the characters is terrible but the monsters are done a lot better, when you actually play the game you will see the difference right away. But it looks like a 2D game when you run on the campus, people have gigantic heads and tiny bodies, must admit they look funny :D.
Sound : 2 / 10
Most of the music is played when you are duelling someone, but as for the speeche they use only subtitles, no voice acting at all -.- . When summoning a monster or setting a card the sound's the same, in the series its much better : ) . Monsters dont do no sound just like the characters.
Gameplay : 3 / 10
Not much to say. Lots of loading scenes. Movement is irritating.
Overall
If you really want to play it then rent it first. Then think, is it really worth your money to buy such a game . I was disappointed in KONAMI for making a game like this, may be they wher drunk or something while doing it :D .
