Yu-gi-oh! GX Spirit Caller is easily recommendable to any Yu-gi-oh fan, but it does have some problems.

User Rating: 7.5 | Yu-Gi-Oh GX: Spirit Summoner DS
In yu-gi-oh gx spirit caller, you go to academy island and you get the chance to meet loads of people and duel with them unless you do not know about yu-gi-oh,the game uses the 'offical' rules to help make stuff more realistic and the game is best for them fans. Gameplay: well, like i said this game is for yu-gi-oh! fans and has a lot of stuff you can do. For beginners of yu-gi-oh! The game has a lot of guides that you can read so it will tell you how to duel with other players. There is over a big 1400 cards in the game, but im slightly disappointed with that because during the game release there was about 2000 yu-gi-oh! cards in total...so, it looks like the designers where pretty lazy but, don't think that makes the game bad because it ain't. For the first time ever you can duel duellists worldwide when I saw that I was really impressed so,there's loads of stuff to do in the game and if you are a yu-gi-oh fan you'll be playing for 40-100 hours(possibly more)

Graphics:shiney, bright 3d elements makes the graphics just look great when you duel you can see the background environments in 3d and the monsters look good enough as well.2d mixed with 3d give you ultimate animé graphics. The most thing i was impressed with the graphics, was the anime-style character detail. Unlike in Nightmare Troubadour, the characters design looked bright colourful and looks more like the cartoon.

Sound: Nothing to say but just awesome sound here. While you duel, when you are about to lose or win the music changes there's a lot of music in the background and nice sound FX when you attack with your monsters just great. However, the music gets repetitive very early.

Value:OK, you should be able to guess how long you will be playing this game and I think for at LEAST 40-100 hours , nice story line there, you need to get some DP(money) to get better cards, thrash the last boss and finally play wifi for a long time...

Tilt:well, for me I am not a mega yu-gi-oh! fan I just like it .That's why I played the game so, i say that this is a-MUST have for yu-gi-oh! fans and you should buy it (if you have a ds...) and that settles it....But there's one thing that makes me SO angry is that you get cards late, really late for example if you want to make a decent dragon deck you have to wait all the way until you are level 22!(about 30 lvs in game)when I mean lv I mean has your duellist lv has you play the game and duel more you get exp and lv up yourself to unlock more packs and story events. The cards you get are limited until the end of the game! So, you cannot make a dragon deck until the end of the game, and that is just disappointing,it would've been even better but that does spoil a lot of the game...

OVERALL:Despite the cards you can get at the wrong time, I highly recommend this game to yu-gi-oh fans because , they are the ones who would get most out of it.
