If it weren't for 'NOW LOADING....'
'The Ark of Naphishtim,' though i have already played for PS2 and finished the game, I wanted to play it again and beat it again, so I bought it for PSP.
Well, it was a mistake.
The game itself is pretty good. As always, the gameplay is fun, and you get to smash everything and at the same time feel the beauty of the world of YS.
'NOW LOADING...'
You get to see this EVERY time you change your map, go into a house, and just whenever something happens you get to see it.
Now loading cuts off the flow of the game, and most importantly, it BUGS me and you and wastes our time!!! Every time you go into a different map, it takes about 20~30 seconds to load. This means that if you get into a wrong map, it will take you about a minute to recover what you have just done.
Putting this issue aside, (though it is the biggest issue), other things are mediocre. Because I have already played this game for PS2, the graphics of course is worse, but I think they could have done better. The charcter looks kinda split, and when you see water floating, it's kinda hard to tell whether it is water that I'm seeing or just a ice floating around.
Sound is kinda bad. Compared to other YS series, it does not draw you in.
Overall, I would say that if it weren't for the 'NOW LOADING' problem, it could have gotten a score well over 8.5, but since it did not and had some major downfalls in graphics and sounds, I would say that you shouldn't buy this game unless you are a bigger YS fan than I am.
