Brings back memories

User Rating: 8.9 | Ys: Napishtim no Hako PS2
This was the anticipated English release of the Japanese PC version on PS2. I grew up loving Ys 1 & 2 on the TurboCD.

Gameplay is now updated. Rather then what it used to be - bumping into the enemy to kill them - you know hack and slash with 3 elemental sword. I just wish they had thought of this 17 years ago.

Graphics were nice, quite lively but slightly disappointed that Konami decided to give Adol a little proportional body rather then the stubby Adol in the Ys Complete but you get use to it.

Ys is known for its music. This don't disappoint. The intro musicis dramatic and very adventerous. And the boss music are just exciting. No other game out there can match its great music. A lot of people complained about voice acting. I don't think it was that bad and you do have the option of switching over to the *** voice over.

The game certainly will appeal to people who've heard of Ys 1&: Ancient Ys Vanished and hardcore RPGers. I just wished that had more stuff to unlock!
