There is an old saying I've heard that says "If it's not broken, don't fix it". Budokai Tenkaichi fits smack bang into that category. After doing so well with Budokai 3, why try to make such a radical change to the entire gameplay of the game?? Boasting almost every character the series had to offer just isn't enough to cover up the sloppy controls and awkward battles. I'm a huge Dragonball Z fan too, so don't think I'm just paying out on them. All that needed to be done to improve the series, was to further enhance on Budokai 3. A more in-depth rpg element, ALL the characters, and even bigger, more polished super attacks, there was no need to completely change the feel of a game that everyone knew and loved. Sadly, after only a few hours of playing, my copy of the game has been posted on ebay. It's just that bad. Maybe if I had the patience to contend with the sloppy gameplay, it might make it passable, but it isn't what I'd ever call an enjoyable experience. It also looks as though the graphics have gone downhill somewhat also, not looking quite as polished as the previous rendition. Do yourself a favour, and save your money for a better fighting game like Soul Calibur 3. No matter how big a fan of Dragonball Z or GT you are, this game just isn't worth the money. Steer clear people, coz this one reeks!
