Adol Christin once more embarks on a great adventure! Must play for fans of Ys

User Rating: 8 | Ys: Napishtim no Hako PS2
The ps2 version of Ark of Napishtim is the definitive version to play since the PSP version is clogged with ridiculous load times.

Ys AoN starts out with Adol being washed ashore on an island, where he is initially deemed an outcast by the local natives, however, as in typical JRPG fashion he eventually earns their trust and respect through heroic deeds.

There are three primary weapons in the game, an Ice, fire and lightning sword, all of which are capable of being upgraded to level 11 by using emel (this Ys' version of ore).

The story is very short, yet the bosses can pose a challenge. You will die several times if Adol's level is not appropriate, and even then you will need to learn the bosses' move sets to take them down.

There are secrets in game which should be a treat for all Ys fans. Since I'm playing this game several years after its release, I believe this to be one of the better Ys games up there, with Ys Seven as my current favorite.

I do hope they release all the Ys games to North America because I really do like this series, and the Ys soundtrack is stellar to hear.

In conclusion, this is a great game. If you can pick it up for a decent price (bought mine at 17USD), it should be an awesome experience.
