DON'T PLAY THIS GAME!
And now Ys Strategy, this is not fun, it's AOE, Empire Earth, and AOM on the DS. It's like putting Halo on the nes, it isn't that there is anything wrong with the system, it's just that the DS is not designed for this sort of game.
Okay in order:
Graphics: Graphics are poor to the point you cannot tell which unit is which.
Sound: the sound is simple, nothing special.
Gameplay: The gameplay isn't bad, nor is it good.
Controls: Aaaaaargh! The control is the worst, the fact that units are difficult to select, that boxes drawn around them have no effect, that buildings seem impossible to select, but the biggest problem is the lack of buttons so you have to trwl through menus and the icons aren't obvious as to what they represent which means you're also trawling through the manual. Everything is soooooooo slow, so that missions are either too easy (the practice mission requires you to defend your base from an army... of four people) or way too hard.
